Mid-Autumn Festival 2021
The Mid-Autumn Festival, a traditional Chinese festival celebrated by most Chinese in China, Singapore and other Southeast countries, falls annually on the fifteenth day of the eighth Chinese lunar month, when the moon is believed to be the brightest and fullest.
The Mid-Autumn Festival is generally regarded as one of the most important traditional festivals in China and falls on the 15th day of the eighth month on the Chinese lunar calendar. The moon is believed to be the brightest and fullest that night.
In the Chinese culture, full moon symbolizes reunion, so the festival is typically celebrated with family gatherings. In order to enrich our students’ life overseas and to help them deal with longing for home, we decorated our student residences with colourful lanterns and provided them with mooncakes, fruits and drinks for students.
