Alumni talk series – Huang Zhenbang

After achieving a significant milestone in life, have you ever thought what’s the first thing you would want to do to reward yourself? In this series, we asked alumnus Huang Zhenbang to share what he did first upon finishing his A-levels.

For him, he chose to embark on a five-day hiking trip to conquer the Five Sacred Mountains of Daoism in China. This adventure had been on his mind for a while, as he longed to challenge himself to see what he could do with determination and persistence.

After the trip, his experience deepened his love for outdoor hiking and nature, leading him to aim to incorporate the outdoors into his life as much as possible. This realization influenced his decision to attend the Chinese University of Hong Kong, as the campus is nestled on a hill, allowing him to connect with nature and hike frequently.

FIS is truly happy that Zhenbang found a place that resonates with him where he can fully immerse himself in an environment that fuels his passion for outdoor hiking.
