Application Process

Step 1: Course Consultant will conduct course information sessions with potential students and recommend suitable courses.

Step 2: Potential student is required to take an Entrance Test to assess potential student’s suitability for the chosen course.

Step 3: Principal will interview the potential student and his parent via face-to-face / video conference.

Step 4: If the potential student meets the minimum requirements, passes the Entrance Test and interview, he/she would be asked to submit the Admission Form attaching the required supporting documents to the Course Consultant / Agent together with the application fee as detailed in Fee Collection Process.

Step 5: The student and their parents submit Admission Form and relevant supporting documents and pay application fee.

Step 6: Course Consultant verify authenticity of supporting documents and Student Services will apply for Student’s Pass via the ICA SOLAR + System. After the School receives the In-Principle Approval Letter, student will be notified through Course Consultant.

Step 7: The School will collect tuition fees from the Student at least 7 working days before the course starts.

Step 8: Student who has successfully obtained a student visa needs to take a Diagnostic Test when entering school.

Step 9: Student receives the student visa from the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority and officially becomes a student of Furen International School.

*Notarised translations are required if documents are in languages other than English.

Application FAQs

Q: Is my passport required during the application process?
A: Yes, your passport has to be valid for at least another 6 months for visa application.

Q: Am I required to fill in the Late Enrolment Form?
A: You are only required to fill in the form if you are starting the course after the stated starting date.

Q: Must the notarised birth certificate include a photo?
A: Yes.

Q: Am I allowed to pay my course fees after arriving in Singapore?
A: No, payment must be made before our school issues the visa.

Q: Is there a minimum household income and savings required?
A: Yes, a bank statement and proof of combined household monthly income are required, a proof of fixed deposit of no less than SGD 30,000 for a minimum period of six months.

Q: I do not have my graduation certificate. What other methods are there for me to show proof of my education qualifications?
A: We will require a letter of proof of your education qualifications from your previous school(s).

Q: When is the deadline for submission of application?
A: We do not have a fixed deadline. However, we advise you submit your application at least one month before the start of the academic term.

Q: Am I allowed to apply for both a Student’s Visa and a Tourist Visa at the same time?
A: No, student is required to hold an In-Principle Approval to enter Singapore.

Q: Can course fees be paid on an instalment basis?
A: Course fees are to be paid on a yearly instalment basis while courses with a duration of 12 months or less require a one-time payment.
