Alumni talk Series – Li Chaorui
In recent years, a popular saying has been circulating online globally: “Who you surround yourself with is who you become.” Many may understand its meaning, but how many truly associate themselves with it and grasp its essence? Li Chaorui’s case illustrates the power of this saying.
During his four years at FIS, Chaorui did not have a good start. He admitted that he was not giving his full attention to his studies and was neglecting them. However, things changed when he made friends with a group of hardworking students. He was influenced by their dedication and, without realizing it, began to follow in their footsteps. His biggest gratitude goes to them for their patience and guidance along the way. They did not push him away due to their differences; instead, they willingly shared their knowledge, embodying the core value of sharing that FIS has always firmly believed in.
Under the guidance of his classmates, Chaorui quickly got back on track and persevered through the remaining years. His hard work eventually paid off, earning him admission to the University of Melbourne, where he will major in science.
