FIS Deepavali celebration 🪔🪔🪔
Singapore is a vibrant multicultural country where diverse races, religions, and cultures coexist harmoniously. Each community is respected and valued, contributing to a rich tapestry of celebrations, such as Chinese New Year for the Chinese, Deepavali for the Indians, and Hari Raya for the Malays.
To immerse students in Singapore’s cultural diversity, FIS celebrates these festivals with enthusiasm. On October 31, in honour of Deepavali—the festival of lights—FIS hosts a variety of engaging activities, including lamp-lighting ceremonies, Henna art, and Rangoli sand art. Students also have the opportunity to indulge in a delightful array of Indian delicacies, enhancing their experience of this vibrant festival.
