FIS Project week – Design workshop
Over the week-long FIS Project Week, the Fashion Design students documented their design progress and kept videos of their creative processes. The week ended on last Friday with a big bang. Students strutted in their designs made of unconventional materials such as recycling bags, newspapers, just to name a few.
Led by Ms. Corinna Yeo, an experienced designer, “Futuristic Fashion Design” theme challenged our students to keep their creativity juices flowing. Over the week, the students kept videos of their creative progress and through this hands-on activity, the students were taught to think laterally on how to integrate technology into their designs. Not only they did they have to think laterally in integrating technology into their designs, they had to use materials which are not usually used in conventional clothing.
Who knows we may have a “Paco Rabanne” or “Stella McCartney” in the making?
