A day of orientation was held for our new students on 1 September 2016 as the Academic Department came together to introduce FIS. Our students got to receive first-hand information on life in Singapore and at FIS. Through lectures and games in the morning, they got to understand our expectations from them (both academically and disciplinary), the various types of student activities available and their education pathway to university.

Next, our new students embarked on a trip to The National University of Singapore (NUS) and Nanyang Technological University (NTU), two high quality universities ranked in the top 20 of the QS World University Rankings 2016-2017. The newly furbished Chinese Heritage Centre at NTU provided lots of photo taking opportunities and they got to experience university campus life for an afternoon at UTown in NUS where lunch was had.

We hope our orientation inspired our new batch of students to work hard, aim high and to one day be the pride of FIS by entering the university of their choice!
